At Cass Regional Medical Center, a licensed speech-language pathologist provides evaluations and rehabilitation services for children and adults in areas such as speech, language, cognitive impairment, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders. In many cases, deficits are caused by traumatic, neurological, degenerative, pulmonary and congenital/development conditions.
Specific services of videofluoroscopic swallow studies and Vital Stim therapy for the treatment of swallowing disorders is available.
